Plot: Agoraphobic freshman in New York City must join a scavenger hunt to save her boyfriend from a murderous game master.
Audio: Pass Minus. The biggest issue I have with the audio in this movie is the song selection I would say that half the songs sound they should be on some CW show about white rich kids who have “big” issues. The 2nd biggest issue I have is how the songs blast onto the scene like no other. Besides those to things the audio was nice and clean.
Acting: Pass Minus. There was some definite over acting going on. I can see a lot of the cast moving on to big things once they get more experience. I don’t think they will be big timers but I think they can definitely have a steady flow of work.
Visual: Fail Plus. The thing I liked most about the visuals of this movie is the actors themselves. Weird I know. They were all very normal and natural looking people who did not seem to be injected with any type of body modifiers. The deaths were corny as hell and the blood at times seemed to be jelly while other times it seemed to be like Taco Bells fire sauce. There was no nudity at all and that made me sad I wanted to see at least four people naked. Guess you can’t win them all.
Writing: Pass Minus. You know how a lot of horror movies will have a group of people who all seem to be like one another and no one has any real character? Well this movie does not have that at all. Every and I mean every single character is different for the next. They all have their own personalities and are not cardboard cut outs from other horror movies. The dialog was a bit lame at times and just didn’t seem well thought out.
Ed/Dir: Fail Minus. There is a lot wrong here and I don’t know where to begin. There are logic issues that need to be address, there are continuity problems , poor choices of angles they make it look like the actors aren’t even interacting with each other. There’s the song selections. If I didn’t know better I would say this was the directors first soiree. If I was the editor I would take my name off of this project and enroll in some classes.
Final Feelings: This movie easily Fails. Unless you are a hardcore horror fan such as myself and feel the need to watch any and all horror you can get your fingers on stay away from this one. Also the only thing funny about this movie is that it’s categorized as a comedy. There was none thing funny about this film at all… well maybe other than the fact I sat thru the whole thing.
