Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

Year:2010

Genre: Action/Crime/Drama/Thriller

Runtime: 118mins

Rating: R

IMDB Score: 7.2/10 (5,000+ Votes)

Director: Troy Duffy

Writer: Troy Duffy

Plot: The MacManus brothers are living a quiet life in Ireland with their father, but when they learn their beloved priest has been killed by mob forces, the duo return to Boston to bring justice to those responsible.

Audio: Pass. I love it when I don’t feel the need to write a lot about audio in movies because that means the audio was good and none thing crappy happened. Some of the songs didn’t fit to well but beyond that everything was OK.

behind the scenes

Acting: Pass Minus. The acting in this one was WAY better than the first flick but this one is plagued by accents. It really got to me just how bad the accents were. Bad Irish accents bad Boston accents and really a bad Mexican accent. I had a hard time telling if the dude who played the Mexican over acted on purpose or not. If so then great if not then W-T-F?

Visual: Pass. We get some man ass and penis shots in the film and not lady parts…WHAT THE FUCK!? There is a fair amount of gun fights and some really nice cam work going on.

Writing: Pass Minus. It felt like there was a sub plot that just got axed half way into the movie and at the end it sounds like this series may become like the xXx sereis but without all the high tech gear, I’m not sure if I like that. As for the story as a whole it’s your run of the mill revenge thing.

Ed/Dir: Pass Plus. Great cam work, really nice cuts and transitions make watching this film enjoyable.

Final Feelings: This one is way better than the first one over all. I could not stand the first one but really like this one. It Passes and is worth a rent. Check it out sometime.
