The Breakdown:
Lots of bad reviews,lots of decent reviews and lots of in the middle thoughts. People just can’t seem to agree on this movie. So how do I find the movie? I find it to be decent with a shit ton of wasted potential. There were things I really thought were cool while other things never should have been in the movie the way it was in there.
Freaking hothead!
Let’s get this out of the way right now,Nicolas Cage,you should not have been the Ghost Rider again. You’re good in many things and bad in many things,this was one of the things you were bad in. You, my master of inconsistency needed not to elongate every few words and did not need to enunciate every word as if they have a profound meaning to them. Ciaran Hinds, you were fine as hell in this movie but I didn’t buy you as the mother. It’s like the kid was more of a package than your son and that took a way from the movie(not a lot but some). Idris Elba, you’re the man,you rock almost all roles you get but sadly this was not one you rocked. You did a good job don’t get me wrong but man that French accent you used was laughable.
There’s not really a lot of action in this movie,maybe,just maybe,three real action sequences. They weren’t very long but two of them were neat to see while the third was anti-climatic.
This a true to the comic movie? I have no clue to be honest whit you. I never got into Ghost Rider but I have read some stuff about him on comic sites and this doesn’t really seem to stick with the history. I could be wrong since I don’t have any first hand knowledge on the Rider. I can tell you that if this was true to the comic then I have no fucking clue how the comic has had such a following.
I learned something from this movie and that is if you ever told your better half that they don’t look fat in that outfit or if you ever used Napster back in the day than you going to lose your soul.
Best line/exchange in the movie:
Johnny Blaze: Yeah. Black, French, alcoholic priest, kind of a dick. Why, do you know him?
The Verdict:
No where near as bad as people make it out to be but by no means a real winner. If you want a mindless movie to watch give this one a try but just don’t expect much out of it.

2 Broke Girls-And the Reality Check
Caroline and Max search to get Chestnut a job so he has a place out of the cold for winter. Peach tries to get a spot on “Real Housewives of TriBeCa”.
-Hipsters are not cool.
-I can see Caroline blending in way to well with snow.
-I like how Oleg didn’t even ask why Max wanted him to photo his junk.
-HAHAHA, good reason to ware two condoms.
-I honestly don’t know the difference between old money and new money.
-Kitten sneezes and farts at the same time? I bet you could find that on Youtube.
-I have no issues buying Max dinner and calling her pretty.
-Never would have guessed Max is a spitter (when she spit the champagne out at Peaches apt.)
Glee-Hold on to Sixteen
Sectionals arrive and the New Directions face the Trouble Tones and one other group. The New Directions are short handed and need to find members. Rachel and Finn try to get Sam to come back, and Tina defends Mike’s dreams.
-Seems a little weird that Finn is the one in the Glee home talking about star power.
-I think what Finn said is true “even homeless people have facebook.”
-His hair is very CW and is bugging the hell out of me.
-HAHA “You smell like craigslist “
-Sams dad is Pa Kent from Smallville!!
-God damn, the first song is a country one. I want to rip out my ear drums.
-I wonder what other books Santana has with a bunch of insults.
-The “body roll” is not sexy.
-Blaine is having a macho moment by boxing.
-Aww,Tina should have just walked out and left the DVD.
-Both of the glee clubs outfits are ugly.
-I don’t get the tuba and oboe joke that Santana made.
-I like the outfits that the Unitrads are wearing.
-The Troubletones performance was good but one of the dancers seemed to be a little bit ahead of everyone else.
-I want to say the 3rd song from the real glee club is from New Edition but I really don’t know.
-The last song of the ep really made it feel like a finale ep.
Grimm- Dense Macabre
Hank and Nick check out the death of a teacher and discover that one of his students is involved: Nick discovers that the presence of a new Grimm is having repercussions on the creature community.
-What the hell are the clubbers chanting?
-I’d be a bit freaked out seeing all those rats in my car like that.
-I hate when a fridge dies.
-The dad rat really looks like the cg rat.
-I love how Hank has a weak stomach with rats.
-Call back to ripping the arm off was nice.
-The plumber crack was unpleasant.
-Yeah, I wouldn’t have said no to Ms.Shade either.
-The voice of dj with the cat head on is creepy.
-Wu is right, someone had to go there with the bad pun.
-The old rat in the pizza box joke….classic!
Bones- The Twist in the Twister
The body of a “storm-chaser” found after a tornado doesn’t seem unusual until a video found that was filmed during the disaster shows a more sinister culprit than Mother Nature. Elsewhere, a desperate Angela and Hodgins turn to her father for child-care assistance, and Brennan must cope with Booth’s over-protectiveness everywhere she goes.
-LOL, she lasted two days at camp due to a horror movie.
-Goodness,that coffee Hodgins has is freaking huge. That’s like a big gulp.
-AHHAHAHAH, I’m pretty sure Booth trying to help Bones up was the way she got a bun in the oven.
-How funny would it have been if Angela finished the facial reconstitution but it was that of a horror monster?
-A chaser chaser, really?
-Wow, a real big pricey special effects scene (the tornado scene).
-She was so happy she hugged Sweets because of the rainbow,why?
-I like the sleepy time tornado.
-Crazy dude redheaded friend is very nice looking.
-There was a lot of wierd shots and angles used in this ep. Some worked some didn’t.
Person of Interest- Get Carter
Reese, Finch, and Fusco must protect Detective Carter without giving away their true identities, when the Machine gives them her name as the next Person of Interest.
-Bout time P.o.I comes back. I’ve missed the show.
-So Carter was an interrogation specialist for the Army?
-It sounded like Fusco told Carter that his name was Lion-O.
-I don’t like it when Reese calls Finch Harold.
-Only 300 threats? Sounds like she’s a poor Det. lol.
-I wonder how many cop are truly are dirty.
-I bet Eddie (the wife beater) is shooting blanks.
-Lol at the photos Carter had in the flashback.
-How is that Reese just walks around in the day time with weapons that look like they can take out a small gang and no one notices?
-Fusco is not going to be able to handle the two girls Hector having fun with.
-So Reeses “Joker” just walked in and out of a building full of cops and no one saw him? Well, to think of it I’m not sure just how many people have seen his face.

Glee- Mash Off
Sue starts a smear campaign to take down her biggest competitor for the Congressional seat. Meanwhile, Puck has a crush, and Will and Shelby Corcoran encourage some friendly competition.
-HAHAHA, the Hot for Teacher remake was funny. Plus Tappable Teacher was looking good. Shame they didn’t just do the whole vid.
-The commercial Sue made about Kurt’s dad was good.
-Who the hell still uses Myspace?
-WTF, “is this what a storke is like because I like it?” Dumb Girl is great.
-Mr.Shu and Tappable Teacher singing was a bit corny but it sounded good.
-Did Puck just really recommend The Jonas Brothers?
-LOL an ass less J-Lo.
-I’m conflicted on the dodge ball scene.
-How many backhands did Santana give Finn when she was saying “sorry”, I think at least 20.
-Sue’s 2nd commercial was just as good.

-Those are some ugly ass dresses the glee club is wearing but all the chicks look good in them.

Happy Endings-Angie, Max’s high school girlfriend whom he dated before he figured out he was gay, moves back to town, and her arrival affects everyone.
-A knife that absorbs blood is the perfect murder weapon.
-I liked playground more than hairband.
-I would be Jane’s work husband any time.
-HAHAH, Alex couldn’t figure out what her man friend wanted to do when he spelled come c-u-m. I know people like that…. sheesh.
-LOL, “he’s kissing her like she has a penis.” I’m calling that best line of the night.
-Holy shit, the fingers in the month was so unsexy.
-”No stranger to the three whole punch.” is now the best line.
-Dave looks like a suffer from the 80′s with that super deep V neck.
-A code war seems kind of fun.
-I think I lost my apatite during the last scene but somehow found my penis….yeah, that’s not strange at all.
Community-When the school board asks Dean Pelton to make a new commercial for the school, he enlists the study group to star in his production.
-The currently running commercial they showed looked like it was a rejected opening to Saved By the Bell the Collage Years.
-HOLY FUCK! I didn’t know Capt.Awesome when to Greendale.
-Wow, “seen being agreed with you Troy.”
-Jeff doesn’t look to bad with a bald head.
-Luis Guzman is a cool comedic actor and an pretty good dramatic actor.
-LOL, he’s going to segregate the school.
-That is a bad hairstyle on Chang.
-They really took the writing up a level and about 5 for the dean. Very impress with this ep.
Person of Interest- Foe
Reese and Finch discover that their high-tech expertise is all but useless when they try to protect their newest Person of Interest, a man with Cold War espionage connections that have come back to haunt him.
-Reese knows Finch’s favorite color.
-The scene with Finch in the book store proves he’s just as badass as Reese, just in a different way.
-I wonder if that chick who had a pic of Reese and his ex is going to be a female Finch….if she’s still around.
-I like the needle angle that the dude uses.
-Reese just highjacked a freaking ambulance. That’s some crazy shit.
-German is not a pretty tongue.
-Steiller is played by Sherman Howard and for all us zombie freaks he’s best known as Bud from Day of the Deador if you’re a geek like I am Lex from The Adventures of Superboy. Now I really want to watch The Adventures of Superboy. I really wish they would allow seasons 2-4 to be placed on DVD.
-I was expecting Reese to pull out a rocket launcher and not that huge ass riffle.
-That was prob the coolest thing those kids ever saw in person. Reese pulling out that gun and taking the shot.
-Well that chick from Reeses past is no Finch.
Grimm- Lonelyhearts
After a strange group of female deaths and disappearances, Nick sends Monroe undercover to spy on a hypnotic suspect. In the meantime, a stranger shows up and tries to get revenge of his friend death by a Grimm, but he’ll have to get past Captain Renard.
-The giant fake spider on the bridge remains me of a Zerg.
-That’s a neat looking sythe.
-The B&B owner likes Hank or he pick-pocketed him.
-That is a nice looking garden the B&B has.
-HA,Nick rolled his eyes when he saw the B&B owners reflection in the pound. I know what he’s thinking “why is everyone I look at a monster of some kind?”
-From now on when I want to say “Fuck me.” I will say “Integrate me.”
-Eddie is such a whore for booze…I’m a whore for food.
-What language was the Cpt. and the reaper speaking?
-Eddie got rejected as fast as I do when I go to bars.

Thor’s armor is an amalgamation of the Thor costume in Marvel main continuity and the Ultimate comic line.
The Breakdown:
This is not like X-Men:First Class at all. In that I mean it rocked on all levels. Hell this even had a cameo from Stan The Man Lee, unlike X-Men First Class. I think it’s safe to say that if The Man isn’t going to doing a cameo for a Marvel movie then it’s most likely not going to be a good comic book flick. I will not be doing a review on X-Men:First Class.
So why is this movie so good? Acting, effects, sound,story,directing. You name it. Shirtless Thor? Yeap, this movie’s got it and let me tell you Thor is ripped. I found myself wanting to see Thors hammer when he got shirtless,I can only dream of what the ladies would want to do. Shame the chicks didn’t get topless. But if you really want to see Kat Dennings topless just do a Google search ( I am not kidding. She had some topless photos of her stolen from her phone earlier this year) and you will see just how fat and real those tits are…Kat if you read this,what’s up? I really don’t have anything bad to say about this movie. There are small things throughout the film that I didn’t like but it’s really just a bunch of nit picking. Some of the things are:
- The cg work in Asgrad was not all that good expect for The Rainbow Bridge. That looked like one long ass multi-flavored Jolly Rancher.
- The tilting of the camera for establishing shots. You really only want to use that to give the viewers a sense that something’s really off or that something bad is going to happen or if it’s from the first person view then it’s usually used for drunkenness or sickness/weakness.
- Odin. Don’t bitch yet. Hopkins played Odin well, it’s just how Odin looked that’s bugged me. The metal eye patch and being on par psychically with all the others.
- The lack of magic on Lokis part. I was just expecting him to use more magic than he did.
- Lack of the use of The Warriors Three and Sif.
- They didn’t use Donald Blake as Thors alternate identity.
- They wrote Jane Foster like Lois Lane of the 30s and 40s early on then BAM! She’s written like Lois Lane of the 50s when she had her own title. Did not like that at all. And I know all the none comic fans aren’t going to get that but I wanted something in here just for the comic fans.
- The movie is more of a drama than an action adventure flick like the the trailers would have you believe.
Like I said just a bunch of nit picking.
Best actor(s):As I said Hopkins played Odin very well. So much so he was one of the two best performances in the flick the other was from the dude who played Laufey (Colm Feore). Those two out shined everyone by a mile. I’m not saying the rest of the cast sucked because they didn’t,not even a little.
Best dialogue: “Is there a Renaissance Fair in town?” “Call it in.” “Yeah.” “Base,we’ve got Xena, Jackie Chan and Robin Hood.” Xena is Sif played by Jaimie Alexander(who is damn good looking),Jackie Chan is Hogun played by Tadanobu Asano (he is Ichi the Killer),Robin Hood is Fandral played by Josh Dallas (no clue who this is but when I saw the character I was thinking it was Robin Hood myself). The dialogue left out one character and that was Volstagg played by Ray Stevenson (The Punisher);he looks like a Viking so I don’t know what they didn’t just add that in.
As stated above I feel this is more of a drama than action adventure but that’s OK because they sprinkle in the action and adventure all at the right times and the movie does not drag on at all unlike another Marvel comic book movie that I mentioned already.
For everyone who said Idris Elba shouldn’t be Heimdall because he’s a black man and Heimdall is a white guy I say this to you: Get your heads out of your asses. Elba is a great actor and he gave the scenes he was in such impact. If the better actor is a black guy, a tan from a can chick or an albino baby then they should get the role.
The Verdict:
This is hands down a movie to buy. Not a comic book fan? Who cares, this movie is good. It’s got it all, action, drama, a shirtless Thor. The only people that shouldn’t buy this movie are those that don’t like good movies.
I give this flick 5 Meowmeows out of 5.

Chuck-Chuck Versus the Last Details
Chuck and Sarah’s wedding planning includes one final detail: ensuring that the mother-of-the-groom makes it to the ceremony on time and alive. -The beginning of this ep seems like a cheap ass action movie from the 80′s.
-Wilson can not dance.
-I would have put house on a better cell phone.
-Guns don’t mean he shot the bare.
-House loving his patients is funny.
-Damn his arm looks like a Pinhead lives there.
-I’m gonna say the he’s injecting himself with steroids.
-Ok I was kind wrong about what he was injecting himself with.
-Burned gums are nasty looking.
-Really liked the bickering within the group.
Modern Family-Good Cop Bad Dog
Phil and Claire decide to switch parenting roles for a day, while Jay gives entrepreneur advice to a friend opening a dog training business, and Cameron comes down with the flu on the night of a Lady Gaga concert.
-LOL, if this was Europe it would be OK.
-EEEWWW that bathroom is disgusting.
-I would like to be in Gloria.
-Aww Cam is so overly sweet when Mich is sick.

Glee-Prom Queen
Prom madness abounds and a king and queen are named amidst the return of Rachel’s ex and Vocal Adrenaline superstar, Jesse St. James.

Grey’s Anatomy-I Will Survive
Personal and work pressures are adding up and have Meredith visibly on edge, Owen conducts formal interviews for the Chief Resident position, Cristina grows increasingly defiant, Alex and Lucy’s undefined relationship gets tested, and Jackson suddenly backs out of the Webber’s diabetes trial.
-I don’t think Yang would be all that good. It would most likely be all about her.
-The establishing shot of the hospital is the first time in all these years that we see more than just the front doors. Well I think we may have seen it once or twice in season one or two but never this wide of a shot and you know what it’s not really what I was thinking it would look like.
-I can not see Mere making Halloween outfits.
-8 months along? She doesn’t look she more than 8dinners in.
-How can the baby live in the intestines like that?
-Someone is going to find out if they want to make some interesting eps.
-HA, a tree.
-Alex doesn’t even know when he’s placing his foot in his mouth does he?
-Virgin Supers would be a cool comicbook title.

-Damn Patty is going to be feeling bad everyday if she keeps the kid.
-Vi is going to be bitchy about this, really? She’s the one that is on the ethical fence.
-Who’s going to hit Betsy’s parents:Cooper or Pete? I say no one.
-Vi didn’t visit, damn she is a selfish person.
-I’m guessing the son did that shit to Betsy.

-Sister Shepherd is going to turn into a drunk next season I would think. It would make for some real interesting stories if she’s going through those issues along with the medical board using a magnifying glass on the practice.

-Cool, the chick who pick Broadsky’s pics is Deb from Napoleon Dynamite.
-Arm wrestling, really?
-HAHA Sweets and his wrong way of saying things.
-The sequence of Broadsky setting up was done really well.
-The death would have had more impact if it was one of the main characters.

Smallville-Finale
After ten years, Clark Kent completes his epic voyage from freshman high school student to the Man of Steel.
-Series finale.
-I’ve spent 10 years watching this show. Seen every ep and own some box sets.
-The opening flash back was a nice touch.
-Apokolips!!
-Damn, this is the last time I will hear the opening theme on a Firday night.
-Lois can’t see that CK is who he is partly due to her can she?
-I’m glad Chloe is back but that hair style can go. It is a nice throw back to the early seasons.
-Bats should be the best man not GA.
-Apokolips looks real cool so far and it’s 15mins or so in.
-Ma Kent’s looking a little stiff going through the house.
-There better be more Pa Kent than just what was at the house.
-Yeah Lois you are an idiot.
-A Gold K ring. I really don’t know how they plan on using it since this is the finale.

Don’t know much about this movie other than it looked cool when I saw the preview. I hope it’s more action that story.

The painting in the saloon is a parody of Edouard Manet’s famous “Dejeuner Sur L’Herbe”.
The Breakdown:
This movie takes ideas from a lot of different pop culture sources like: anime (Ninja Scroll),video game(s) (Samurai Showdown), comics (Lone Wolf & Cub),movie (Sin City) though this is mostly in the way they filmed it. One would think that with all the things they took ideas from that the movie would be one big pile of mess from a dog with a special diet but it’s not. Sure it’s has some issues but what movie doesn’t?
For me the best thing about the movie,and this is going to sound weird, is the transitions. They used a lot of normal one but in slightly off ways. One example is when they fade from scene to scene it’s not done in the what would seem mandatory black. They used black witch is very normal but they also used white and red for the fades as well. The red was used at points in the movie where there was a huge uptake in rage while while was more of a surprised feeling. It was nice to see used in such a way. The other type of transition I liked was the dissolve. A dissolve is a gradual transition from one image to another. What I liked about how they used the dissolve is that it would involve the scene it was transitioning from. So lets say someone in the movie was looking down into a pound and a cherry blossom fell into the pound they would use the ripple of the water caused by the blossom to dissolve into the next scene. I think they used this technique with a bullet and a tip of a sword.
Next best thing about the movie is the action. Once they get past the opining credits BAM we get sword play! And I love it when action movies start off with action. Boy is there some real good action sequences but after the first one in the movie you have to wait some time for the next one. Yeap, it goes action,story build up, back story,unrelated drama, then action then more action then all out action. Trust me on this all the waiting is worth seeing all the fighting. Ninja assassins vs cowboys….weird and interesting to watching to watch.
The acting was all pretty good but I did have an issue with Kate Bosworths’ accent. Well that actually wraps up my thoughts on the acting.
As I stated above, this movie is filmed a lot like Sin City in the sense that around 85-90% of it was all green screened in. Most of time you see a ninja assassin who’s face is covered up that’s CG work right there. Damn near all the backgrounds,yeah, you guessed it were CG. The flowers,CG. Tons of cg/green screen work and it didn’t come off as cheese. Knowing that kinda makes you looking at the acting again doesn’t it?
The Verdict:
Pending where you live you should see this in a dollar theater,drive-in,rent it or buy it. You should only really buy it if you like stylized action movies otherwise just rent it. It’s worth a view. I can see there being a sequal but a direct to DVD one.
I give this movie 4 fun fights out of 5.

Plot/Synopsis: Lex Luthor masterminds an elaborate plot to kill the Man of Steel by poisoning him with solar radiation.
Forethought(s): The comic book that this movie is based on is one of the best Superman tales ever told. It’s about Superman who is dying and wishes to complete twelve challenges. The art is great but I am unsure how well it will transfer to animation and that is really my only worry about this one.
Fun Fact/Trivia: A not so fun fact: Dwayne McDuffie who turned the comic into the movie died the day before the movie came out. He was/is one of the few writers in the comic world that I will buy almost anything he does. He created a vastly under rated comic company called Milestone. One of Milestone launch titles was turned into a cartoon that ran from 2000-2004 for 52eps and that title was “Static” but the cartoon is called “Static Shock”. He wrote for other cartoons and some video games as well. He will be missed.
The Breakdown:
I do not enjoy reviewing animated movies. It’s not that I don’t like them because I do;I just find it hard to review them. I have done them in the past and I will continue to do them but will always cringe a little when I do.
So you already know that this movie is based off of a comic book series. That series lasted 12 issues and each issue had a challenge that the Big Blue Boy Scout wanted to finish. Well the movie does not have all twelve and that’s a real shame;I am as are many other comic book fans would have loved to see them put to film but alas that would have made the movie longer than it is. I for one would have loved a two hour All Star Superman movie but seeing as this movie is aimed for kids mostly (that’s not to say the older kids like myself can’t enjoy) they wanted to keep it at an acceptable time limit for those that may have A.D.D.
Since it’s not two hours long it leaves out some stuff and modifies parts of the stories. One thing I would have loved to see in the flick is Sups saving Bizarro-Home but for whatever reason they did not have it. I also would have enjoyed seeing The Man of Steel go toe to toe with Death but again they did not have it. In the comic Sups becomes evil, Jimmy becomes Doomsday to stop him and Kal-El is defeated. As a thank you Sups graffitis up the moon for Jimmy. None of that happens in the movie and there’s more that is left out but honesty I do think only the readers of the comic would have really enjoyed. All those I can deal with but I do take issue with that they had him destroy one of the baddies he has to fight (I will not reveal that one) and that they have Lex figure something out that was left to Dr.Quintum and the that the last thing we see is not a huge door with the #2 inside of the crest of El (Supermans’ shield).
I know what you’re thinking that sounds like a lot of bitching but you know what it’s not. Those are just minor things. Things that really don’t impact the movie that much in my view. I did like the movie and they kept in the keep parts like Lois becoming Superwoman for 24-hours and Sups trying to make Lex see the light. Not only that but I liked almost all the voice acting and I always find things I hate about the voice acting. Christina Hendricks did a real good as Lois (I have never hear her speak before this movie [I have looked at her a lot] so I never knew she had such a nice voice) and after hearing her in this one I think she should do more voice work. James Denton played Superman but his voice just isn’t honest enough sounding to play Sups if you ask me. I think he would have done a good Luthor,however,Anthony LaPaglia plays Luthor and does a good job with the anger and the hatred. The one role I think was spot on was Ed Asner as Perry. He just sounds like what you would think Perry sounds like. As for the rest of the cast they are forgettable. They aren’t bad but they aren’t good. They just are.
So I was fearing that the art of Frank Quitely wouldn’t look all that good animated and that fear was put to rest. The art looks good animated. It was very smooth and almost realistic. Not Alex Ross realistic but still good enough you aren’t saying to yourself that “this shit looks fake.” I was also surprised at just how much like Quitelys art that the animators got it to look.
The Verdict:
Things were definitely left out on purpose for time and smoothness but that does not lessen the quality that this movie is. Decent voice acting and real nice art. This movie is way better than Superman Returns. If you still have a bad taste in your mouth form that flick watch this one it will help with the pain. This is also a movie that comic and non-comic fans a like can enjoy. If you know someone who is a comic book fan pick this up for them. If you aren’t a comic fan but still want to see a nice heart warming flick that has some nice action in it rent this one.
